Another possibility is federal or state laws requiring the use of so-called filtering programs when children are involved. In either case, the battle lines are drawn. The internet is the best platform for young people to learn but it also exposes them to content that is not suitable for their age and their development. The contents are not organized as per age or appropriate areas and a child can get exposed to inappropriate content without supervision and guidance. It can also be psychologically damaging for the kids. Some examples include sites that show eating disorders and self-harm.
